What to Pack
As we’ve already mentioned, winter weather in Branson MO can be quite capricious. If you’re planning to visit during these colder months, be sure to check the forecast right before you leave and pack accordingly. In most cases, you will need to pack comfortable shoes, pants, long-sleeve tops, a light jacket, and a coat. If bitterly cold weather is expected, be sure to bring scarves, mittens, hats, and thick socks as well. If snow is on the way, bring a heavy jacket and boots that are suitable for the snow. Most importantly, pack in layers (lots of light jackets, layering tops, scarves, etc). That way, you’ll be able to add/remove clothes as necessary throughout the day. Remember that if you forget to pack something important, you can always buy a replacement in Branson!
If the Weather Outside is Frightful . . .
Are cold temperatures and snowfall expected during your trip to Branson? Not to worry! Although you won’t be able to go horseback riding or boating (plan another trip to Branson for the summertime!), there will still be a number of things to do. Many museums are open, the shopping malls and restaurants rarely close, and you can always visit one of Branson’s famous live shows. Plus, remember that the weather can change on a dime in Branson! Typically, visitors are able to golf some in January, February, and (of course) March. It just depends on the year and Mother Nature’s mood.
